This includes a large group of weeds. Ragweed the most significant in this group, because of its importance, will be treated separately. There are many different genera of weeds in this family and they share similar antigens. The season is from late summer to as late as December in some of the Southern States. Some of the weeds in this group are considered to be important allergens. This group is the most important non-grass family of herbs and weed producing allergenic pollen
